A website to help raise vital funds

Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) are a charity that reaches out to the Palestinian communities, striving to deliver health and medical care to those worst affected by conflict, occupation and displacement.

MAP needed a new website that would truly capture the vital work they do and highlight the urgency for vital funds to be raised to enable them to continue their work.

Work
  • Information architecture audit
  • Website design
  • Bespoke developments
  • Unicity CMS development

To get to know the charity better, Adept held a series of discovery workshops with the different teams working within MAP. We used these workshops to establish what each team's requirements were from the website.

Following the discovery meetings, we produced and agreed a new information architecture for the website through a series of wireframes. These also allowed us to identify the different content elements that would need to be created.

We knew the website needed to be extremely visual to showcase the amazing photos that the charity has in its library. MAP were also keen to include stat-based content to highlight to the user the desperate need for their help.

The website was been built on our Unicity CMS and makes use of the many features that Unicity has to offer. One of the key features is the Unicity Donations System that allows the charity to handle one-off, regular and campaign-based donations through the website.

Results

Since the launch of the website, Adept continues to work with the charity on the continuous development of the website. These ongoing improvements have included the development of event registration forms and introducing the ability for the website to take donations in a variety of different currencies.
