Providing the details that matter

Together for Short Lives' mission is to help every child and family living with a life-limiting or life-threatening condition get the very best care and support, so they can make the most of every moment together.

The charity identified that when a child’s carer changes, often some of their key requirements and preferences are not passed on, which could often cause unnecessary stress to the child and their parents.

To combat this, they wanted to produce a web application where the parent or carer can create a profile for their child that outlines their conditions and care preferences. This could then be easily shared with a new carer whenever needed, to ensure that the new carer has a complete picture of how best to care for the child. 

How we helped

Adept conducted extensive research, reviewing the requirements for the front end and user interface for the new web application. The platform we developed is fully responsive, to allow parents and carers to update a child’s profile as needed.

The application has been widely recognised and received high praise from parents and carers, by filling a crucial gap in a child’s care journey.
