Always striving to make an IMPACT

Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust (ACT) are a flagship hospital charity dedicated to supporting innovation in patient care across Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Whether it's treatment for an emergency, acute condition, pregnancy, or long-term illness, they believe that every patient deserves the highest quality of care.

After taking several different directions since its creation, ACT wanted to shift the design of their Supporter Magazine Impact for 2020, bringing it back to being a community focused publication.

Magazine design

How we helped

By sitting with the ACT team and talking through their objectives, target audience, tone, and image library, we used our experience and expertise to advise them on the perfect format, optimum word count and overall approach in terms of pictures and supporting graphics. We also designed a matching cover letter and mailing envelopes.

Results

The redesign of the magazine was a huge success, generating more than double the expected income against target by engaging with their audience on a much more emotional level. The magazine will now be produced four times each year, as part of the charity's ongoing communication strategy.
