Demonstrating an NHS charity’s emergency response

Imperial Health Charity work in partnership with the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, helping patients and their families at times of extreme financial difficulty. They also help their hospitals do more through their grants, arts, volunteering, and fundraising.

The charity approached Adept asking whether we would be able to produce a one-off report that would summarise the impact of their emergency response activities during the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic.

How we helped

Basing the design on Imperial Health Charity’s brand guidelines, we produced a 24-page impact report in an easy-to-read square booklet format.

To ensure the report was highly visual and engaging, we used a selection of real-life photos of the volunteers and hospital staff, ensuring the focus was firmly on the wide range of people and projects that the emergency response had helped. Key statistics and the response timeline were pulled out in infographics, for added visual impact.

A double-page spread that included a large image with a ‘quote wall’ brought visual relief among the pages of text, and summed up the charity’s gratitude to the staff, volunteers and donors.

Thanks for your support throughout the project. Everyone at our end is very pleased with the finished product

Results

The report was sent out to Imperial Health Charity’s network of major donors, trusts and foundations who had contributed significant sums towards the appeal, highlighting to those supporters the difference their contributions had made throughout that time. This report was also shared with media partners in the wider charity sector.
