Let’s talk about cervical cancer

Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust are the UK’s leading cervical cancer charity, with a vision that would see a future where cervical cancer is a thing of the past.

In order to promote the importance of smear tests to pick up the early signs of cervical cancer, the charity wanted to launch a number of advertising campaigns that would see the placement of adverts, posters and digital materials placed in relevant publications, service washrooms, GP surgeries and online.

Adept worked with the charity to establish the creative briefs that led us to create the messaging and visual direction for the materials for this sensitive but important subject.

The advertising materials needed to convey that smear testing was for women from all walks of life, and that cervical cancer can affect anyone with a cervix. We did this through a bold design, created to stand out, while remaining mindful that this testing is not something that's easy for all women to have.

We also produced a takeaway card that was made available in some locations, as a reminder of how to find out more information.
